The 6th International Conference on the West Philippine Sea is planned for October 2, 2027 (tentative) in Palawan. The call for papers will open on this page; the guidelines below follow the 5th edition and will be confirmed when the call opens.
Who may submit
- Researchers, extension practitioners, community development workers, faculty members and students may submit papers for oral or poster presentation.
- Representatives of civil society organizations, communities, local government units and the private sector, in the Philippines and abroad, are invited to present their experiences related to the conference themes.
- Papers and posters should address one of the conference themes.

A talk in a parallel session, with slides.
Poster presentation
A poster displayed and presented during the poster session.

Abstracts
- Up to 300 words.
- Title, all authors with their affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author.
- The conference theme it addresses, a few keywords, and your preferred presentation type.
- Submitted online through this website once the call opens; you receive a confirmation email and a private link to follow your submission.

How review works
Abstract
Abstracts are screened by the conference committee and may be sent to reviewers.
Full paper
Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit a full paper, which is peer reviewed (double-blind); revisions may be requested.
Presentation & proceedings
Accepted work is presented at the conference, and accepted full papers are published in the conference proceedings.
